About Bill Russell and Jet Boats of Montana

 

Bill Russell with GameJet Boats of Montana was started by Bill Russell, an avid hunter/fisherman who needed a boat to hunt and fish remote Alaskan rivers that were inaccessable by boat. He needed a boat that could operate in 3 inches of water with a jet pump that wouldn't fail. A failed jet pump could cost a life in the remote reaches of the Koyukuk River in the Brooks Range or down the Ivishak River from Prudhoe Bay in the Arctic. After searching and failing to find a boat that would perform to his standards, Bill designed and built his own boat. He is now producing different models of these boats in limited quantities.
